This was partially inspired by the coming of autumn colors. As summer colors fade, greens go from bright lush hues to more olive toned, browns become more pronounced. Red, orange and gold start to dominate our daily visual color palette.
I love working with sepia as a base for a mandala. I feel like it really alters the feel of the mandala, softening the hardness of the line.
Any many thanks to Joy at Bluefield Farm in Blauvelt for the beautiful background. If you haven't visited her at the Nyack Farmer's market on Thursday morning, go and go early. Her bouquets sell quickly!
